Why won't we BLAM moar?

it has come to my attention that fickle users are refusing to vote justly on flash applications simply to give themselves better chances at recieving protection points. i find this insulting to the general community as it will cause worst of the videos to remain on the site and even mingle with the same or similar ratings as the truly great ones. this must stop immediately, if voters want additional points then we MUST for the sake of newgrounds, band together to BLAM all the worthless shit that arrives through the flash portal. we will still receive points, but they will be blam points, and these will be all the moar satisfying if we know we are keeping some of the horrible content from seeing the light of day for moar than a minute. if a video is crap, then blam it. if a video is garbage, blam it. if a video is ridiculous to the point that it has no redeeming qualities, do not give it a five in hopes that you will recieve another petty protection point... BLAM it!

i intend to write to the administrators regarding this issue, requesting that they impose higher standards for allowing a video or other flash content to remain here. this is the only way, i believe, that we can produce honest votes.

no, i don't just want people to blam. i want them to vote based on what they think of the flash. thank you for doing so. idc if you talk to me or not, but i am happy that you are one more person who is voting based on their opinion rather than desire for protection points.

And yes, by all means, write to the administrators, like they haven't got enough pointless messages to ignore, I hope you're not expecting a response. Why does everything on Newgrounds have to be a huge success? The NG motto is "Everything by Everyone". If we blam all the shit with giving them an earnest chance and REVIEWING their work, which is much more important than voting, then they won't have a chance to improve.

People vote whatever the hell they want to because they have every right to vote whatever score they want without people telling them what to do. Sure you get 0 bombers, but there's some democracy, the users decide what belongs on the site. Some people may have high expectations, and when things don't go their way, there's nothing they can do. So get over yourself. This news post is rediculous. Fail.

no, i havent submitted anything, but i dont make flash... if i did, i can assure you, i would only submit it if it was worthy, and if it wasnt, even if it was my own work, i would honestly not want it to remain on the site.

no, im not expecting a response, just trying to voice my concern even if its not heard. i honestly didnt even expect any responses here... and i think you're missing my point, idc if everything is a huge success, and im not arguing with people's right to post their stuff, or even if that stuff should stay(not entirely), and im not even arguing over people and their opinions on things (if they like something, then they can give it whatever) what i dont like is when someone sees something that is clearly bad, that they dont even like, but they vote it high ONLY for the sake of getting points, because they think everyone else will do the same(to get points). this causes the scores to be misrepresentative of the actual content. and thats all i ask, is that the scores be representative of the people's (not my) opinions on the work, and not representative for their desire for more points. ive only been here a short time and have already posted reviews, not once have i directly insulted an artist or their work, and that is the opposite intention of this post.
